Amrita Vidyalayam, Perumbavoor, celebrated a resounding victory in the Vimala Cup 2024 Inter-School Football Tournament, hosted by Vimala Public School, Kuttampuzha, on 14th August 2024. Competing against eight formidable teams, our team showcased exceptional skill and determination throughout the tournament. They secured a commanding 6-1 win against Bes-Ania Public School, Chelad, in the quarterfinals and edged out Vimalagiri Public School, Kothamangalam, with a score of 2-1 in the semifinals. In a thrilling final, Amrita Vidyalayam, Perumbavoor, triumphed over Vimala Public School, Kuttampuzha, with a decisive 2-0 victory, clinching the championship title.
The team was awarded a cash prize of Rs. 5001 and the Winner’s Trophy, marking a significant achievement for the school. Special recognition goes to Amal Sir, whose guidance, mentorship, and unwavering support were instrumental in the team’s success.
In addition to this victory, Amrita Vidyalayam, Perumbavoor, also secured the runner-up position in the Under-14 category of the prestigious Vimala Silver Jubilee Memorial Cup on 16th August 2024. The team’s outstanding performance earned them a cash prize of Rs. 6000 and the coveted Ever Rolling Trophy.
